Thank you for being our angels of hope this year!May God bless you!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support throughout the year. The frontline teams can’t do what they do without you! You are an essential part of this healing ministry, and so greatly appreciated.
This year, you’ve been our angels of hope as we all experienced the agony of COVID spiraling out of control in India, and people were dying in numbers we can barely imagine. (Even if we just saw it each night on our TV screens).
You cried out to God when the hospitals you support in India were threatened by shortage of supplies, and increased demand for services. And in response, God has been faithful to us all. Thank you for your commitment in these most difficult days.

Dr Mary who has led The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) for the past five years and has served the Mission for more than a decade, has been at the helm in India during the pandemic. (Many of you may have met her personally, either during her two trips to Australia, or perhaps if you have visited the Mission in India.)

Dr Mary is now taking early retirement after her own battle with the coronavirus. But she had these words for you as she took her leave:

“As a co-worker of Christ, let Christ radiate and live His life through you. Let the sick and suffering find in you a real angel of comfort and consolation.”
— Mother Theresa

“I have cherished working with you. I specially want to thank you for standing in solidarity with TLMTI during these last four years when I was Executive Director. Especially during the pandemic when you raised additional resources to support us and prayed fervently for our colleagues and families affected by COVID-19.
“Thank you for praying for me when I was sick with COVID. God saved my life because of so many of you interceding for me….”

The Leprosy Mission seeks to bring about transformation; breaking the chains of leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity, and life in all its fullness.

We are targeting a Triple Zero Leprosy strategy — Zero Leprosy Transmission, Zero Leprosy Disability, and Zero Leprosy Discrimination. We are working hard with our international project partners, and international government organisations, to make leprosy transmission a thing of the past by 2035.
