Gospel House

Gospel House is Sri Lanka’s leading Fair Trade manufacturer of handcrafted wooden toys.

They use sustainably grown albezia wood, grown in the tea plantations of Sri Lanka. Their toys are all tested for safety, and carry certification guaranteeing that the paint used is lead free. Gospel House meets international Fair Trade standards and are members of the World Fair Trade organisation

It was established in 1977 with a commitment to providing employment and training to marginalised and semieducated people. Their mission is to add value to Sri Lanka’s sustainable resources and improve and uplift the living standards of their employees, producers and their communities.

The range of toys from Gospel House in this catalogue are made exclusively for The Leprosy Mission Australia.

The Leprosy Mission seeks to bring about transformation; breaking the chains of leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity, and life in all its fullness.

We are targeting a Triple Zero Leprosy strategy — Zero Leprosy Transmission, Zero Leprosy Disability, and Zero Leprosy Discrimination. We are working hard with our international project partners, and international government organisations, to make leprosy transmission a thing of the past by 2035.
