Thank you!
How I thank God for people like you!
For some people, a time of crisis - like the landslide disaster we've faced in Nepal - is a time for despair. For people like you, though, it is a time for action, a time when your love can bless most powerfully!
That's exactly what you are doing with your kind donation to help restore the Self-Care Unit at Anandaban in Nepal, to full operation capacity for leprosy patients. (Your receipt is headed to your inbox so you can claim any tax benefit you may be due).
While you may not be the one on your knees scrubbing out mud, or perched on a ladder patching up walls, you are there in spirit!
The good news is strong progress continues to be made with building repairs, and replacing furniture and supplies. At the same time, everything is being structurally assessed to ensure the Unit and the Hospital can withstand the next rainy season.
The team you support in Nepal through The Leprosy Mission are encouraged we have not been deterred by the impact of the landslide.
They give thanks for the strong foundations on which the Unit was built, thanks to the support of Hospital Heroes from Australia. They can't wait to welcome patients back to a fully-functioning Self-Care Unit, where they can be fitted for prosthetics, receive training in self-care and wound treatment, and even learn new cooking and farming skills!
Each person like Kamala and Raj you help, go back to their community strong and confident - living proof leprosy is not a curse!
While your helping hand now is doing the 'dirty work' of cleaning up and repairing, you at the same time strengthen the foundations of the entire ministry to people with leprosy in Nepal. That means you will have lifelong impact and benefit!
Thank you for offering your helping hand for this ministry of healing and hope into lives that have lost so much! You are making such a difference!
Yours in service,
