Rhitik in Nepal doesn't know about global aid cuts. He just longs to play soccer with his friends...

But because his leprosy was found too late, he can't. Doctors were forced to remove most of his right big toe after a severe ulcer refused to heal.

Now, Rhitik is heartbroken. He can't play soccer. He regularly misses school for hospital care. And his classmates tease him about his limp.

You'll understand why he hasn't told them he has leprosy.

GIVE NOW

Last year our partners screened 25,000 children across Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Nepal for leprosy and other health conditions.

Together, we are getting closer to ending leprosy around the world by 2035. That's less than 10 years away!

What an incredible gift this would be for so many children like Rhitik... yet right now this future is in danger, because of cuts to global aid.

If those in power overseas won't act, it's up to us.

With your tax-deductible gift today today help fill the gap in critical leprosy care, you'll protect children like Rhitik - and be part of ending child leprosy for good.

Please give by 30 June, so we can pass on your urgent care.

Every donation you make to these projects will be combined with funding from the Australian Government to reach more people. The Leprosy Mission Australia has committed to contribute $1 for every $5 received from the Australian Government. Your donation will allow us to extend our programs. The Comprehensive Zero Leprosy Project (Co-ZLP) project in Indonesia, the E-LETRA (Ending Leprosy Transmission in Oecusse-Ambeno) project in Timor-Leste and the Jhapa Leprosy Reduction Project in Nepal are all supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP). Thanks to the ANCP, these projects are able to help improve the well-being of people affected by leprosy and disability in these countries.
