Giving Tuesday is a time to “give thanks and give back” for all the blessings and abundance God has provided over the past year.
This year, The Leprosy Mission is ramping up our participation and encouraging supporters nationally to make 1st December – Giving ShoesDay!
On Tuesday 1st December, gather your family, friends, colleagues and groups for a “shoe-a-thon” of giving!
for 1 pair of protective shoes
for 4 pairs of protective shoes
for 8 pairs of protective shoes
Kabiru is 15 and lives in Nigeria. He couldn’t go to school due to constant illness. He’s suffered painful ulcers and watched helplessly as his fingers became clawed.
“The painful ulcers on my feet made movement very difficult. I couldn’t go out to play with my friends, climb trees and set traps for bush rabbits. I had to drop out of school.” – Kabiru
You can help raise much needed funds and awareness about the importance of protective shoes for people affected by leprosy.
Wear odd or silly shoes on Giving ShoesDay (Tuesday December 1st), take photos of your shoes and post them on social media!
Remember to add the #GivingShoesDay hashtag in your photos!
