Your gift will ensure children in Papua New Guinea receive the treatment they desperately need before it’s too late.

You can give children like Lily hope

Our nearest neighbours in Papua New Guinea are impoverished.

They have no-one but you to help them safeguard their health from this dreadful disease.  Please give today.

Meet Lily. She’s 12 years old, orphaned, and now living with her uncle in the slum area of Port Moresby – no place for a child to grow up.  She has already lost two toes, and she has a ugly swollen ulcer on the sole of her foot which has damaged her skin and compromised the bone.

Lily feels sad because she thinks her foot looks ugly. She has trouble walking and the ulcer will not go away. Sometimes she wraps it in an old piece of rag because her family has no money to buy a new bandage. But that’s not much protection when you live in a slum.

But Lily needs so much more than our anger or tears. She needs our support and care to cure her leprosy, heal her suffering and give her some hope for her future.  The damage to Lily’s leg is permanent. Her dropped foot and the loss of sensation on the sole of her foot means she will need to take care for the rest of her life – and her foot is at risk of amputation.

With your help we can stop leprosy from continuing to destroy Lily’s young life. We can ensure she receives the medicine and support she needs to overcome this crippling disease.

You have an amazing opportunity today to reach out and do something life-changing for Lily – and so many others like her in Papua New Guinea.

Your gift will ensure children receive the treatment they desperately need before it’s too late.

The Leprosy Mission is one of the only organisations fighting leprosy in PNG.  So by donating you will be offering His love and hope where otherwise there would be
none. And whatever you give today will provide hope for someone like Lily.  That’s HOPE – what a priceless gift – just imagine what that will do.

Your donation today will help make sure children like Lily receive the 12 month course of medicine they need to cure their leprosy once and for all.  Your gift today it will be life-changing. It will help supply girls like Lily with ongoing care they’re desperately waiting for.

This Appeal is our big chance in 2018 to continue the fight against leprosy in Papua New Guinea, and we simply cannot achieve this without your generous support. With your help today, children like Lily can be cured and given hope, where before there was none. So please, donate today.

Together we can cure and protect her – and others like her – from the ravages of this terrible disease. Thank you.
