Grace Lutheran Church Service with Dr Famkima – (Bridgewater, SA)
February 10 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
For 145 years the Leprosy Mission has been working in India to bring healing and hope to people affected by leprosy. The Leprosy Mission Australia invites you to meet Dr Famkima Darlong, Head of Healthcare at The Leprosy Mission Trust India, to hear about this work firsthand.
Dr Famkima oversees the work of the fourteen Leprosy Mission hospitals in India, as a postgraduate medical professional with over 25 years of working experience in ophthalmology and leprosy. He is actively involved with the Evangelical Medical Fellowship in India and nurtures Medical students spiritually, visiting them in various colleges and helping them to realize that their profession is a calling from God and wherever they work they should be a witness for God.
In India, around 1/4 million new cases of leprosy are found each year and millions more live with disability and ongoing health issues stemming from the disease. COME to hear Dr Famkima’s powerful story of individuals’ lives changed, families reconciled and children set free from stigma, fear and disadvantage.
Leprosy Mission Merchandise will be available for purchase. Donations welcome to help change lives of people affected by leprosy in India.
