“You are invited to join us!”

By Sheldon Rankin, CEO

In the same way the Macedonian Church desired to partner with the brothers and sisters in the Jerusalem Church “they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people” (2 Cor 8:4), so many of you share with us in serving people affected by leprosy and disability.

Each year, The Leprosy Mission Australia National Council and Board meet with staff to reflect on the year gone by and hear the latest updates direct from the field. This year, we are inviting everyone (especially you!) and making it the first annual International Partners Day.

The day is the perfect opportunity to see and hear how your gifts and prayers are making an impact for people affected by leprosy and disability, and to fellowship with other supporters.

During the day you will hear about how our faith leads to fantastic partnerships by special guest speaker Dr Moyra Dale. Dr Dale spent many years working in the Middle East with the Church Missionary Society, and now helps train missionaries.

You will meet Amar Timalsina from Nepal, who was diagnosed with leprosy as a child. He will share his amazing testimony. And Joel Costa Dos Santos from The Leprosy Mission Timor Leste will share his story. He will tell us how God is using him to build effective partnerships for people affected by leprosy in Timor Leste.

We will also hear from Australian leprosy expert Dr Warwick Britton on the state of leprosy today.

You are also welcome to join us for the Annual Dinner in the evening where Stuart Brown, a former CEO of The Leprosy Mission Australia, will take us through some of the journey The Leprosy Mission has had in Australia.

Bring your friends, family or colleagues and immerse in this insightful experience together!

Please prayerfully consider joining us.

The Leprosy Mission seeks to bring about transformation; breaking the chains of leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity, and life in all its fullness.

We are targeting a Triple Zero Leprosy strategy — Zero Leprosy Transmission, Zero Leprosy Disability, and Zero Leprosy Discrimination. We are working hard with our international project partners, and international government organisations, to make leprosy transmission a thing of the past by 2035.
