Through prayer, I believe and receive! Thank you!

Suman is receiving treatment at The Leprosy Mission Anandaban Hospital you support in Nepal.

A couple of years ago, Suman was experiencing a lot of pain in his leg (not due to leprosy). One day, ‘Good News FM’ came on the radio.

The preacher was teaching about the healings and miracles that Jesus performed. Suman was interested to know more, so he kept listening.

At the end of the sermon, the preacher asked the listeners to come near to the radio and receive a prayer for healing. Suman believed it was possible and right after the prayer he felt relief in his leg — the pain was gone!

“From that point on I felt stronger and stronger belief in Jesus”, Suman told us.

Suman becomes even more alive when talking about his faith. Particularly his second miraculous encounter…

He went along to church one day when there was a big storm, which was becoming dangerous.

The pastor encouraged them to pray. But Suman was worried, “I didn’t know how to pray.” So the pastor said “just pray how you like”.

During his prayer, the storm became quiet and his belief increased even more.

Recently, he wasn’t able to get the care he needed at his local hospital, so he was referred to Anandaban. It seems like it is no coincidence that he is now here…

Thanks to you, Suman will not only receive medical care, surgery and physiotherapy but he will be able to have fellowship and conversations with other believers.

He has been here for a few months already, and enjoys times of worship and teaching from the Bible. He feels very blessed.

He tells us that he would like to get married, is now praying for a wife, and would welcome any prayers for that!

He is also determined to return to farming after he is discharged from hospital.

Thank you for your prayers and support for the patients and staff at Anandaban Hospital.

Please pray for Suman and that the faith of others may be strengthened through him.

The Leprosy Mission seeks to bring about transformation; breaking the chains of leprosy, empowering people to attain healing, dignity, and life in all its fullness.

We are targeting a Triple Zero Leprosy strategy — Zero Leprosy Transmission, Zero Leprosy Disability, and Zero Leprosy Discrimination. We are working hard with our international project partners, and international government organisations, to make leprosy transmission a thing of the past by 2035.
