Yuek Ming Poon

Yuek Ming is the TLM Indo-China Coordinator based in Hong Kong. She is a nurse by profession and is responsible for the development of projects in the Region to help people affected by leprosy to live with dignity and a feeling of self worth.

 

Danja, Niger

Helen Nixon

Helen is an Occupational Therapist. She is responsible for the development and management of Community Based Rehabilitation programs (CBR) administered from the CSL Danja Hospital and is overseeing the Leprosy Control, Prevention of Disability and Physiotherapy Programs.

 

Dili, Timor Leste

Natalie Smith

Natalie was appointed Country Leader for Timor Leste in September 2009. Her responsibilities will be to manage the country strategy and develop potential leaders to be responsible for managing the Mission in the future. Natalie participated in a Research Team meeting in England in November 2009 and will continue to coordinate the TLMI Statistical Research Team on Leprosy.

 

Anandaban Hospital, Nepal

Elisa Yule

 

Elisa, an Occupational Therapist, is responsible for the development and management of Community Based Rehabilitation programs in urban and rural communities.

 

 

Chiang Mai, Thailand

Trevor and Heather Smith

Trevor and Heather are celebrating 40 years of service at the McKean Rehabilitation Centre at Chiang Mai in northern Thailand this year. Trevor is the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital and coordinates the medical programs and community medical centres. Heather is responsible for the development of rehabilitation and livelihood programs and the new multi-level care centre.

Trevor and Heather retired from the Leprosy Mission at the end of December '09 and have continued to work in their current roles as members of the McKean Rehabilitation Centre.

 

 

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Anne Roberts

Anne works at ALERT (All African Leprosy, Tuberculosis & Rehabilitation Training Centre) in her field of physiotherapy. She facilitates training courses in leprosy for physiotherapists and other staff
