TLM works in China through various organisations, but mainly through the work of a Chinese based organization called  Bless China International, which works specifically in Yunnan Province.  Bless China works with the Government and other organizations to provide support, rehabilitation, medical care, and housing to those affected by leprosy and other health issues.

TLMI has been involved in supporting this project in China since 2006 and 2009 was the last year of the project.  The focus is primarily on housing needs, but the project also helps with rehabilitation and income generation for the recipients. 

Guangxi Leprosy Rehabilitation Housing Project                         TLM has also partnered with Habitat for Humanity to create housing and HANDA for rehabilitation and income generation, an organization that has more than 10 years experience in supplying services and opportunities to individuals affected by leprosy. Since the beginning of the housing project in Guangxi, 60 homes have been constructed for leprosy affected people and their families.

In 2009 the project moved to a new site in Daxin County in southwestern Guangxi province.  Daxin county had the highest incidence rate of leprosy in Guangxi in the 1960's and hundreds of people still suffer from the stigma, poverty, and community discrimination of being leprosy affected.
