The Leprosy Mission International is comprised of over 45 countries, each with an important role in the fellowship.

Each country has the same vision – a world without leprosy – but fulfills the vision in different ways. 21 countries raise funds to cure and care for people with leprosy and in doing so, educate and advocate for those most in need. 23 countries implement programs for people affected by leprosy and provide the long term care that is needed after they have received the cure. 5 countries do both promotional and implementing work.
Australia focuses its work on funding projects in DR Congo, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Nepal, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Nigeria, and China, and works to provide expertise as well as funds to the projects we partner with. Other promotional countries focus on raising funds for work throughout the rest of the partnership.
