 Gifts of Love

Give someone you love a ‘Life-changing’ Gift

For Christmas, for birthdays, or for any special occasion celebrate by giving your friends and family a life-changing ‘Gift of Love’.

For the amount that you might normally spend on a present, you can give a ‘Gift of Love‘ that will not only touch someone’s heart…but change the life of someone with leprosy. You can help them to have improved health and mobility, education or the ability for families to earn a steady income.

How it works…

We will send you a ‘Gift of Love’ card for each gift you select. These cards can be given in place of a present and show your friends and relatives the life-changing gifts you have given on their behalf, but do not mention price. If you want us to send the card directly to the recipient for you, please include their name and address when you make your order.

Where the money goes…

When you select a ‘Gift of Love’, you are making a tax-deductible donation to The Leprosy Mission (TLM) project of which that gift is a part. The dollar value listed for each gift is an estimation of how much this element of the project costs. Your donation funds this element, along with other vital activities of that project. If we can’t use the money for the specific item you buy, it will go to an associated program.

Countries that benefit from your ‘Gift of Love’ are projects that TLM Australia is supporting in Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, India, Nigeria, DR Congo and Nepal.

2 Chickens - $10

A pair of chickens is the start of a flock. While eggs provide a family with extra protein, vitamins and minerals in their diet, the surplus can be sold in the market for a regular source of income.
This ‘Gift of Love’ will help someone with leprosy set up a small poultry business, and enable them to grow their business long into the future.

Sunglasses - $10

Leprosy can often compromise the blinking reflex as the leprosy germ attacks the nerves in the muscles around the eyes.

This ‘Gift of Love’ allows TLM to provide protective sunglasses that will protect the eyes from harsh ultraviolet rays from the sun as well as dirt particles that scratch and scar their eyes.

Protective Shoes - $15

Left undiagnosed and untreated, leprosy can lead to a lack of feeling in feet, which then leads to injury and disability.
This ‘Gift of Love’ will provide shoes that are adapted with soft internal padding, to protect vulnerable feet in the long term.
